So today, while talking to my friend Steve Swanson from the Muppetcast podcast, he asked if I knew how to add artwork to his podcast shows without having to use Garageband or meta ID3 tags from scratch. Well, I think we were both puzzled because he knew how to make standard ID3 tags for Artist, Album, Year, Etc… but not to add Artwork. What podcast isn’t complete with a nice piece of artwork!!! Well, I decided to Google and see what Google said, well they were talking about making ID3 tags from scratch….so I decided to open up iTunes and check what you can do here and “BAMM”. I thought, well how do artist add Artwork to there song tracks, well duhhh, by going through iTunes settings and adding it there. So here is a nice basic tutorial on how to add artwork, etc… to your podcast.
- Import your podcast .mp3 file to iTunes
- Once in iTunes, right click on your .mp3 and click “Get Info”
- In “Get Info” fill out all the requested fields you would like and then put in the artwork for your podcast.
- Once you are done, click “Done”
- Now export your .mp3 or just drag the file to your desktop
- Finally, upload your file and now when people download your podcast, it will have Artwork and everything else you are interested in.
- Have fun
